We use an email security system to try and prevent malicious emails from arriving in your Inbox. The chart below shows the amount of spam and malware automatically blocked each month between October 2019 and April 2020.

You may occasionally receive an email like the one below, notifying you that our email security system has quarantined an email:

 

 

This is because the email may contain malicious code, or a virus, and has been blocked. The notification email will also contain details such as the sending address and subject line.

You don't need to forward these notification emails to the IT Service Desk, as our email security system has already taken action.

However, if you receive a notification and believe the quarantined email to be genuine, please contact the IT Service Desk with the details so we can investigate further.
