Removing your current UCS email account

Below are instructions on how to remove your current UCS email account from your device. Follow them carefully, if you come across any issues please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance.

Please note: Removing your UCS email account from your device will remove any locally stored data relating to your account, such as Contacts, Calendars and Reminders. When you have re added the account you will be able to re-sync these and retrieve the data related to your UCS Account. Any locally stored contacts will not be transferred over to the new profile.

 

 

Android

 

1. From your home screen, navigate to the main menu and locate 'Settings' (this is usually depicted by a cog)

2. Once in settings Scroll down and locate 'Accounts'

3. Once in accounts find 'Exchange' and click on it, you will then see a screen like this

  

4. Click on your email address which will take you through to this screen - in the top right hand corner press the three horizontal dots.

5. This will bring out a new pop out menu, in this menu press 'Remove Account'

6.You will get a warning message pop up, click 'Remove Account' to Continue

 

7. This may take a few minutes to complete, once done your UCS account has now been removed from your device.

iPhone/iPad

 

1. From your home screen navigate to settings

2. Select 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars

3. Select your UCS email account

4. At the bottom of the screen press 'Delete Account'

  

5. A warning message will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the account, select yes. After a few moments your account will be removed from your iPhone

Windows Phone

1. From your home screen navigate to settings - system.

2. Select Email and accounts.

3. Click and hold on your UCS email account until the pop up menu appears.

4. Click 'Delete Account'

5. A warning will appear, click 'Delete' again to remove your UCS email account - This may take a few minutes to complete.

Entourage

1. Open Entourage on your Mac.

2. Select Tools and navigate down and click 'Account's.

 

 

3. In the accounts window click 'Mail' to see all email accounts set up through Entourage.

4. Select your UCS email account by clicking it once.

5. Click delete to remove your UCS email account - This may take a few minutes to complete

Outlook - From Home

 

1. From your start menu Open Control Panel

2. In the search bar - Type 'Mail' then select 'Mail'

3. A pop up window will appear click 'Show Profiles'

4. Select your UCS profile and click 'Remove'

Please note: The profile may not be named UCS. It will be named whatever your originally called it when setting up Outlook at home previsouly. If you are unsure about which profile to remove please contact the IT Help Desk for guidance.
