Four teaching spaces have wireless microphones installed.

These are: Waterfront WAD, Waterfront LT1, Waterfront LT2 and Atrium A001.

We are limited to the number of wireless microphones that can be used in the Waterfront building because of restrictions on the use of radio frequencies.

Wireless microphones come in two versions

Handheld

This is a one piece device.

Lapel (or lavalier)

This comprises of a body pack and a small microphone on a lead which is plugged in to the body pack.  The microphone can be attached with a small clip.  When this guide refers to lapel microphone it means a body pack with its wired microphone.

Currently provision in each space is:

The pack from reception contains two hand held microphones and one lapel microphone.

The lapel microphone body pack has a pink label.  One handheld has a pink label and one a green label.
