We've created this FAQ to answer some of the questions you may have during your visit to the University of Suffolk. Click on the questions below to find out more.

If you're visiting the University of Suffolk from another institution that uses eduroam, you can connect to eduroam using the credentials for your home institution.  

Otherwise you are welcome to connect our SuffolkUni Wi-Fi network.

You are welcome to use a University of Suffolk guest account however you will not be able to make use of the internet.  

If you are giving a presentation and require internet access for your presentation you can either: 

  • Ask Reception for a guest account on your arrival.

  • Plug a laptop into the desk via either the HDMI or VGA connection and connect to SuffolkUni Wi-Fi.  

 

While we are upgrading our facilities, We cannot guarantee HDMI provision in all lecture rooms. Please make sure you have the appropriate VGA adaptor, or an unencrypted memory stick so you can make use of the PC provided.

 

Yes, you can make use of the projector. With a guest account you can use the PC which is connected to the projector. Alternatively, you are welcome to use your own laptop and plug into the desk via HDMI or VGA.  

If you are using a memory stick for your presentation, please check that your presentation does not rely on links to the Internet.

Only a few of the larger lecture theatres have roaming microphones that can be loaned from the Reception desk. To learn more about how to use these microphones please click below.

If you need to print or photocopy while on campus you can make arrangements with your host to print or copy on your behalf.
