If you are hosting an event at University of Suffolk and using a room with audio/visual equipment, please use this Event Checklist to ensure the smooth running of your event.
These rooms are set up for lectures, please return the audio/visual equipment to the state you found it. The university does not have any portable audio/visual equipment available to book.
Rooms are checked regularly but we rely on users to report problems If you experience an issue please let us know here.

Lecture Theatre 1 (Waterfront Building) should be considered the primary choice for important events held at the University of Suffolk.
If you require Audio Visual services other than those provided in the venue, or your event is larger than a standard learning and teaching session, we recommend contacting AV Unit, our external supplier and maintenance provider.
Bookable by staff only
If you or your guest speakers need help or advice using the equipment at the University of Suffolk, we recommend booking a training session with our Audio Visual engineer. This will need to be in advance of the day of the event.
These sessions are ideal for answering any questions you might have about using the Audio Visual equipment. They are also a great opportunity to discuss whether your event requires external support. Sessions typically last between thirty minutes to an hour.
IT Services cannot provide dedicated event support, but if we are notified in advance that an event is taking place, we can arrange our Audio Visual engineer to complete a pre-event check of the equipment. Please contact the IT Service Desk with as much notice as possible.
If there is a problem with University-managed equipment on the day of the event, we will aim to provide assistance on a best-efforts basis. However, if your event is prestigious in nature and you are worried about major equipment failure or require dedicated support, we recommend contacting AV Unit, our external supplier and maintenance provider.
Make sure you have spoken to our Events and Conferencing team regarding your event.
